Connecting two tunnels with nothing in between crashes

Connecting two tunnels together with nothing in between and starting, stopping then starting the simulation again will crash. Connecting anything to either end of the tunnels makes the crash happen immediately after starting the simulation once. Once anything is connected between the tunnels, nothing crashes anymore.
The easiest way to reproduce this would be this simple circuit:

Just to be sure: In which version is this happening?

0.4.14-SR4. Happens both on Win & Linux (however on Win it seems to always need the "start, stop, start" to crash)

This is probably already solved in development versions.
Anyway I will have a look.
