SIMDE VER 100RC2R1007. Serial COM

HI,

I am not able to find the COM port change as in other versions of Simulide for Arduino UNO. Could you give me some indication? Thank you. I am not sure if this is a bug.

I already knew this tutorial, but the problem is that clicking on the body of the UNO appears: "Open Serial Monitor" and after that: "USat1", nothing more. There is no way to enter the option to change the COM pot number.

Well... that video didn't show how to add the Serial Port component.
I updated the video to show the whole process.

Basically the new Serial Port is a component, you have to add it to the circuit like any other component and connect to Rx and Tx Pins.

One of the advantages of this one is that you can use it with Software Serial library.

You could probably do it if Arduino IDE could see your virtual port.

But that is much more complicated than just use the editor in simulide or load the hex generated by Arduino IDE.

First you need to load the bootloader hex in the Arduino.
Then setup virtual ports and connect the serial port in simulide.
Then Arduino IDE should see your virtual port so you can choose it.
Then start the simulation just before sending the hex fron Arduino IDE so the bootloader doesn't timeout.
And then writting to Program Memory should work which I don't know.
