In R1931, when 5v (High Level) is connected to a 7-seg's a/b/c/d/e/f/g pin, the corresponding LED segement will keep shrinking.

So if a 7seg is connected to 8051's outpins or a BCD-7-seg decoder, it will just keep shrinking. Add a resistor between the input and out pins could prevent this, but that's very inconvenient, and I'm not sure if it's really needed in the real circuit.

So is it a bug, or an feature?

That means that the maximum current has been exceeded.

You can configure the 7-seg for your case in the "Electric" properties.

BTW: Could we add an enable pin to the BCD-7-Seg Display? I think there's no way to turn it off.

A 7-seg display is just a bunch of leds, it does not have enable pin.
But something like that could be done in a subcircuit.

What I mean is "7-Seg-BCD", as the following, not 7-Seg.

It only have 4 pins to receive the number to be displayed, and will always display sth. I can't find a way to controll it's on/off. And I can't figure out how a subcircuit could do that.

Sorry, I didn't realize.
Maybe we can add a property to show/hide an enable pin?
But I don't see it as very useful.

Not sure.

But the thing that really scraching my head is where to put the enable pin... I think the current layout of it's 4 pins is too good...

I've tried to make a patch that add two options to 7-seg BCD component:
- show point pin
- show enable pin (Low level enabled)

Good solution. Patch applied at Rev 1938.

But I inverted the behavior of Enable Pin, it was active with 5 V.
